Lewis Hamilton rejected claims that he has "lost faith" in Ferrari after their double disqualification in China, calling the rumors “complete rubbish” ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.
Hamilton won the sprint race in China but was disqualified from the grand prix alongside teammate Charles Leclerc after both Ferrari cars failed technical checks.
After two rounds of the 2025 season, Hamilton is in ninth place, 35 points behind leader Lando Norris, but insists he remains fully supportive of Ferrari.
“There was a lot of hype at the start of the season – what's important to remember is that this is my first year with the team, I didn't expect to win from the get-go, and I didn't expect us to be fighting for the championship straight away,” said Hamilton.
Ferrari was expected to challenge for both championships but has struggled in the opening races, currently holding just 17 points after two races this season.
Hamilton jumped ship to Ferrari ahead of the 2025 season after driving Mercedes-powered machinery for the first 18 years of his F1 career.
