The Cleveland Cavaliers captured the No.1 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 135-113 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Cavaliers, who move to 63-16 on the season, are now four games ahead of the second-placed Boston Celtics with three games left in the regular season. “You celebrate these moments. I think the guys are super happy in that locker room. We've had some ups and downs this past month, but I'm really proud of the guys. It's hard to win 63 games in this league, and it's hard to be the first seed. So, great accomplishment. We're hungry for more,” said Kenny Atkinson, Cavaliers head coach. The Cavaliers were led by guard Darius Garland, who finished with 38 points as Cleveland won the game without star player Donovan Mitchell, who was sidelined with an ankle injury. Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley added 21 points and 12 rebounds as duo Ty Jerome and De'Andre Hunter combined for 35 points off the bench. The Bulls, who already sealed their spot in the upcoming play-in, were led by Patrick Williams' 21 points and Matas Buzelis' 19 points. The Cavaliers will have home advantage for the entire Eastern Conference playoffs and may even steal home court for a potential NBA Finals if the West's Oklahoma City Thunder lose their remaining games.
