Thousands of shoes were placed in Dam Square in Amsterdam, Netherlands on April 12, in a powerful memorial honouring Palestinian children and journalists killed in the Gaza conflict. Organised by the Plant an Olive Tree Foundation, the display featured children's shoes symbolising the nearly 20,000 children reported killed, alongside photos of 313 journalists who have died over the past two and a half years.
